"Community Association" (BPCIA)
The BPCIA meets on the 4th Thursday of nearly every month at 7:00 p.m. Meetings are typically held in the BV clubhouse. However, as a COVID safety precaution, virtual meetings are held on zoom in place of in-person meetings. All residents are welcome to attend and participate in meetings, which last about an hour. Attire is casual. Regular meeting attendance is the best way to learn about what is happening in the community. See the Board of Directors section for details and the newsletter for meeting dates. Meetings are also advertised on special signposts at each BV entrance and the website message board.

Seasonal Events
Homes in Briar Village were first occupied in the late 1960's. Since that time several events have become traditions for our community. These include:
4th of July Parade - usually led by a real Fire Truck! Our children decorate their bikes, wagons, scooters, themselves and they and their parents march a short parade route through the "Village."
Easter Egg Hunt - held on the grounds near the Clubhouse, and is organized by the HOA. HOA and Mom's Club volunteer their time to make the event a success and fun for all ages.
Spring Fling - an event hosted by the HOA and Briar Village swim team in April to mark the pool opening. The event is an incredibly fun opportunity for the families of BV to get together and swim, play, and mingle. The swim team sells concessions to help raise money for the upcoming season and this is an excellent time for swimmers to join the swim team as well.
Halloween Party – usually held the weekend before Halloween, this event is great fun for the community children. In past years there were bounce houses, face painting, costume parties, and more! In 2019 there was even a Chili Cook-Off.
Tennis Courts
The Tennis Courts are open year-round. You must have an access card to use this amenity. Click here for more information.
Swimming Pool
Pool season is typically between May through October. The pool is closed every Monday for maintenance. Pool hours of operation for the current year will be posted when available. In order to access the pool, residents must 1) be current on all maintenance fees and in good standing with the Association, 2) sign and submit a waiver. Residents who signed waivers in 2020 or later, can bypass this step, and 3) have an access card. Please note Briar Village property owners must request access cards for tenants. Please see the pool page for more information.
Clubhouse
The Clubhouse is used for community meetings such as the monthly Community Association Meetings and Garden Club Meetings; it has been used for scouting meetings, playgroups, and slumber parties too! It is available for rent to BV residents for private meetings, receptions, and parties. It is equipped with a full kitchen, restrooms, lounge furniture, and tables and chairs; adequate parking is also available. Of course, there are some limitations, but when decorated for a special event, it is very attractive. The rent is nominal and there is a security deposit that is refundable after the post-event inspection verifies that things were left ship-shape. Please see the Clubhouse Reservation page for more information.
Swim Team - The Briar Flyers
All BV children, ages 4 through 18 years, who know how to swim, are welcome to participate. We also offer a learn to swim program for the little ones just starting out so that future flyers can be made!
Practices start in May each year and Swim Meets with nearby communities are scheduled for late May and June. Children are awarded ribbons and trophies for participation, friends are made and so are lifelong memories. Swim Team has been an important activity for BV children (and parent volunteers) for over 3 decades. More about the swim team can be found at briarflyers.swimtopia.com.
Yard of the Month (YOTM)
Each month (Mar - Dec) a home is selected for this honor based on the merits of good maintenance, design, seasonal color and an overall appearance that supports the standards set for our community by our Deed Restrictions. Many homes are given Honorable Mention each month too. In December, YOTM selections are based on Holiday Decorations. See the Yard of the Month page for photographs of winners and holiday decorations.
Briar Village Newsletter
Our Newsletter is a great source for information about community news, events and our support services, such as security and garbage pick up. Paid advertising from a wide range of business services is invited See the Newsletter page for past issues.
Mom's Club
Our moms club is an unorganized group of over 100 moms from BV that share stories, tips and tricks, friendships, and babysitters! Most of the communication is done through the Facebook group We try to get together as much as possible. The mom's group is always looking for parents to organize get-togethers.
